Armed robbers looted five jewelry and two grocery shops in Nakalia Bazar of Bera upazila in Pabna early Monday.
Over 2 hundred vori gold ornaments, 12 hundred vori of silver and cash worth of Tk. 2 crore were looted.
According to victims a gang of armed robbers numbering 30 to 35 entered the Nakalia Bazar traveling on two boats at about 2am on Monday. Armed robbers confined the night guard Muttakim Islam and Nazar Ali of the market showing arms.
The accused robbers 208 vori of golden ornaments, 1185 vori silver and cash Tk. 6 lakh from seven shops including five jewelry shops in the market.
