Jessore Correspondent :A gang of robbers looted Tk 2.1 million from Rajarhat branch of Agrani Bank in Jessore early Friday, said the police.Kotwali police have rounded up two night guards of the bank- Bishwajit and Shahidul Islam for quizzing in connection with the robbery.Sub Inspector Mahmud of Kotwali police station told that armed miscreants took away Tk 2.1 million from the bank after tied up two night guards of the bank breaking the grill at around 3:30am on Friday.Wadud Ali Munshi, Deputy General Manager, Agrani Bank, Jessore told that the armed robbers took away Tk 2.1 million after breaking the grill and vault of the bank.KM Ariful Haque, additional superintendent of police, Jessore told that the police were investigating into the matter.The night guards told journalists that the robbers took away the money from the bank branch after beating up the night guards at dead of night.No case was lodged immediately after the robbery.
