Former Lion District Governor and Vice chairman of Confidence Cement Ltd Mr. Roopam Kishore Barua has donated Tk one crore for the proposed Chattogram Cancer Hospital and Research Institute.On Monday (March 29), he handed over the cheque to MA Malek, chairman of the Cancer Hospital Implementation Committee and editor of the daily Azadi.The donation was given by Roopam Kishore Baraya-Supravha Barua Trust for the implementation of Cancer Hospital.
On behalf of Lions Club International, District 315 B-4 Regional Chairman Lion Mosleh Uddin Apu, Lions Club of Chittagong Karnafuli President Lion Shubh-Naz-Zinia, Lion Ashraful Yasin, Cancer Hospital Implementation Committee Member Secretary Md. Rezaul Karim Azad, President (Acting) of the Executive Committee of the hospital Syed Mohammad Morshed Hossain, General Secretary.
Anjuman Ara Islam, CPDL Managing Director and CEO Iftekhar Hossain Sohag, a member of the hospital’s executive committee were present. Kamrun Nahar Dastagir, Md. Harun Yusuf, Director of Autism and Child Development Center Prof. Mahmud Ahmed Chowdhury Arju, Deputy Director (Administration) Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Superintending Engineer Anurup Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
