Minister-in-charge of the Election Commission (EC) in Parliament Anisul Huq said the government is implementing a project involving Taka 1,379.19 crore for providing quality national identity (NID) card to all citizens. “The project to provide quality NID to all citizens is going on smoothly,” he said this on Monday while replying to a question from a treasury bench member Begum Fazilatun Nesa Bappy in the parliament.

Minister, said the EC is working to install of nine server stations at regional level, 51 at district level, 394 at upazila level and 10 at thana level at a cost of Taka 355.91 crore.
