The government has earned a revenue of Taka 105 crore 67 lakh 69 thousand and 589 from the country’s district courts during the last fiscal year 2015-2016.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday said this in the Jatiya Sangsad while replying to a tabled question from treasury bench member Nurunnabi Chowdhury.
Replying to another question from treasury bench member Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan, the minister informed in the House that a total of 40,64,537 cases were disposed of by different courts across the country till December 2016 since in 2014.
“The trial courts have awarded verdicts in two sensational cases, including Rajon killing in Sylhet and Rakib murder in Khulna, after examining witnesses and evidences within the shortest possible time in the country’s history,” Huq said.
