The armed assailants snatched away Tk.10 lakh from a trader infront of Shah Amanat Market under Kotwali thana in city yesterday afternoon .
The trader identified as Md.Mohiuddin Kamal . Sub inspector of Kotwali thana Zahidul Kabir told that Mohiuddin Kamal is an employee of one tiles shop in city . He draws money of Tk.10 lakh from UCBL bank of Rifle club market supposed to deposit these amount in nearby IFIC Bank in Shah Amanat Market .
The miscreants consists of 8-10 attacked him infront of Shah Amanat Market and forcibly snatched away the money bag from his hand with gun point and quickly fled away, sources said. Sensing the news of hijacking of money, police stormed on the spot and instantly launched searching to recover the money.
A case in connection is under processing to lodge the case , sources said.
