A client of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) was theft off Taka one lakh from the bank at Kaliganj town in Jhenaidah on Thursday afternoon. The bank authority in the afternoon has admitted the fact.
IBBL Kaliganj branch manager Mustafizur Rahman said, some Manoj Kumar Saha, a clieent of the bank was standing up in line for transaction purposes inside the bank in the afternoon of the day. Some thieves cut his bag carrying the money and theft the same and fled away faster.
Later the bank authority proved the theft following the footage on the close circuit camera of the bank, manager told the mediamen.
Kaliganj police officer in charge Anwar Hossain when contacted said, he was informed that the manger of Rafiuddin and sons Manoj Kumar Saha was theft inside the bank, while no one had submitted complaints in this regard with the police, OC said.
