The management of CVO Petrochemical Refinery Ltd has provided Tk one lakh to Chittagong Metropolitan Police as donation to procure the chemicals and equipments for undergoing formalin test of the fresh fruits and vegetables . Chairman of CVO Petrochemiccal Ltd Shamsul Alam Shamim handed over a cheque of Tk.one lakh to CMP commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol yesterday at latter’s office chamber.
In the meantime, CMP installed 6 formalin test booths in kitchen markets of the city and on average Tk.15 thousand is required to procure chemicals for this booths. Police commissioner hailed the authority of the petrochemical industry for his generous assistance to police. Among others, Additional Police Commissioner AKM Sahidur Rahman, Additional Police Commissioner Debdas Bhattachariya, Managing Director of CVO Petrochemical Industry AHM Habibullah , Dy Mlanaging Director Nizamuddin Mahmud were present on the occasion, a CMP release said.
