Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiling a smuggling bid seized 17 pieces of textile machinery from a house at Boro Achra border point here on Friday.
Being tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a raid at the house of Jahidul Islam and seized 17 pieces of textile machinery from there in the morning, said BGB-26 Battalion Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Jahangir Hossain.
The seized machinery had been kept in the house for smuggling that to India. None was arrested in this connection. The seized machinery was deposited to the Benapole Customs House.
A case was field in this connection.
