A team of Customs Intelligence seized a huge quantity of unclaimed computer equipments worth Tk over one lakh from the city Hazrat Shahjalal International airport (HSIA) on Monday, customs official said.
Customs Intelligence and Detective Department’s Assistant Director Umme Nahida said that customs officials conducted a drive at HSIA following a secret information around 2:00pm and seized the computer equipments from the area. She said that the equipments including, 960 pieces of Hard Disk and
400 Motherboard were seized from a laden trolley in the area.
The estimated price of the goods would be about Tk one crore, the customs official said.
She further said that the officials could not arrest anybody in this connection.
