Titas Gas cut off illegal connection

The government has started a drive against illegal use of gas in order to disconnect unauthorized gas connections.
As part of the drive, some business houses have been disconnected in the capital.
At Tongi, 14 connections, and at Narayangonj 15 connections were disconnected for taking illegal gas connection.
Actions have also been taken in this regard at Muktagacha of Mymensingh district, Manikgonj and Savar. Three lines at Manikgonj and seven lines at Savar have been delinked.
During the drive, led by the Executive Magistrate, a number of various diameter, ranging from 1-3 inches, have been cut off in the different areas of Gazipur, Savar, Mohammadpur, Hazaribag, Kamrangirchar, Munshigonj, Narayangonj and Tangail.
Altogether, 2,27,052 ft, or 69.20 km pipeline have been removed, that resulted in the disconnection of 26,533 stoves.
