Popular singers Asif Akbar and Ankhi Alamgir’s new music video Tip Tip Bristi has been released recently under the banner of Dhruba Music Station.
The shooting of the music video was done in the capital’s Pubail area recently.
In this music video viewers are watching a different Asif and Ankhi. They have lent their voice to the number titled Tip Tip Bristi written and tuned by Torun Munshi and Vashkar Joni has made the music video.
While talking about the video Asif told this correspondent, “Ankhi and I always get proposals to render duet numbers, but we are always careful about working together. We only agree to work together when we are satisfied with the composition and music of the song.”
“The song Tip Tip Bristi has got all the quality we were looking for and thus we have rendered the song together. I hope that the audience will like our song very much,” he also said.
On the other hand, Ankhi shared her feelings by this way, “I really liked the entire arrangement of the song to reach to the audience. Also, the audience has a unique fondness for our duet song and they also admire our performance as well. I hope the lyrics of the song will be able to touch the hearts of Bengali musicophiles.”
It is noted that Asif Akbar is one of the popular singers in the country. He releases solo, duet and mixed albums and also sings for Bangladeshi cinema. He received the Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Singer (Male) for five consecutive years and the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
Asif’s debut album was released on 30 January 2001. He consistently releases solo albums and also duets with singers such as Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kumar Sanu, Bappa Majumdar, Dolly Shaontoni, Suzana Ansar, Sonia, Kaniz Suborna, Dinat Jahan Munni, Monir Khan, as well as many others.
He temporarily retired from commercial singing on 17 March 2010 to concentrate on his political career, but returned to the Bangladeshi music scene with his solo album titled X Prem released in August 2013.
Meanwhile, Ankhi Alamgir is a Bangladeshi singer. In 1984, she won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Child Artiste for her performance in the film Bhat Dey. Her father, Alamgir, is a noted film actor, producer and director.
