Timings of Eid prayers in city

The main Eid-ul-Azha prayer will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises at 8 am on Friday.
However, the venue of the jamaat will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in case of inclement weather.
President Abdul Hamid, top judges, Cabinet ministers, MPs, politicians and people from all walks of life will join the congregation there. Beside, five Eid congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, said an official handout yesterday.
At Baitul Mukarram, the prayers will be held at 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 10 am and 10.45 am. A congregation will be held at the south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 7.30 am. Whips of the Jatiya Sangsad, Parliament members, officials and employees of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat will participate at the prayer.
Two Eid congregations will be held at Dhaka University Central Mosque at 8 am and 9 am.
The first Eid congregation will be conducted by Imam and Khatib of the University central Mosque Dr Syed Muhammad Emdad Uddin and the second will be conducted by Hafez Usaid Ahmad.
The Eid congregations will also be held at Dhaka University SM Hall ground and at Shahidullah Hall lawn at 8am, said a university release here yesterday.
Eid-ul-Azha prayer will be held on the premises of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) at 6.45 am. In case of any inclement weather, the prayer would be shifted to BUET central mosque at 7 am, said a BUET release.
City’s Gendaria Eid Committee has organized Eid congregation on Jagannath University field at 7.45 am. The Eid prayer would be shifted to Gendaria Community centre in case of inclement weather.
