Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Thursday hinted that the provisions of timescale and selection grade in the new pay structure for public servants will continue.
“We have been considering to keep the provisions of timescale and selection grades in new pay scale and decision will be taken after discussion with all concerned,” he said while talking to reporters after a meeting in the ministry.
Replying to a question he said that he is not rigid over the issue as there is a scope to solve it through discussion. “The provisions of time scale and selection grade were excluded as
per the recommendations of the pay commission. Now it is being considered. Final decision will be taken through discussion with stakeholders,” he said. The gazette of the 8th National Pay Scale will be published in the current month, Muhith added.
