Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury laid emphasis on timely preservation and marketing of agricultural products as they are perishable items.
The Speaker made the call recently while exchanging views with 16 farmers at a programme on ‘Marketing of agricultural products’ as the chief guest through video conferencing, a press release said.
The programme was organized by Upazila Agriculture Office of Pirganj, Rangpur.
She called upon all concerned to work together to overcome the current crisis faced by the agricultural sector in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
During the video conference, she also inaugurated the distribution programme of various vegetables among 400 families to meet their nutritional requirement.
