Tigresses’ leave for Malaysia today

The Bangladesh national women’s cricket team leave for Malaysia today (Friday) to take part in the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup tourney scheduled to be held on June 3-10 in Kuala Lumpur.
The seventh edition of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup, organized by the Asian Cricket Council will be the third edition played as a 20-over tournament.
The six-nation tournament will be contested by Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Bangladesh will open their tournament campaign taking on Sri Lanka in one of the opening matches of the tournament scheduled to take place at Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur while India will play against host Malaysia at Kinrara Academy Oval.
The eve cricket team will be playing their next match against Pakistan on June 4 at the Kinrara Oval before facing India at the same venue on June 6.
The women’s team will face Thailand on June 7 before clashing against the home side, Malaysia on June 9 at the Kinrara Oval.
The top two teams will progress to the final scheduled to be played at the Kinrara Oval on June 10.
The Bangladesh eves will depart for tour to Ireland in June before going to Netherlands to play the ICC World T20 Qualifiers in July after their Asia Cup campaign.
Earlier, as a part of training for Asia Cup, the Tigresses went to Sylhet where they underwent a rigorous training sessions.
