Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team captain Jahanara Alam on Tuesday said she is hopeful to win the upcoming two-match ODI and two-match T20I series against Ireland.”Our target is to win all the matches,” Jahanara said during the pre-tour press conference at the media center of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.The national women’s team will leave for Ireland on September 2 along with their head coach Sarwar Imran, selector and tour manager Atahar Ali Khan and BCB’s High Performance (HP) unit trainer Corey Bocking. They will play two T20Is on September 5 and 6 while the two ODIs on September 8 and 10, all at Bready Cricket Club in Londonderry. “We had a tour to Ireland in the past in 2012.We became more experienced in the last four years. We are upgraded now. Our goal is to win the matches, but the different conditions will be a challenge as there is cold weather,” Jahanara continued. Jahanara also express her heartfelt sorrow as they will miss their experienced all-rounder Salma Khatun in this tour for her (Salam) shoulder injury. Sarwar Imran, Atahar Ali Khan and Corey Bocking also spoke on the occasion while Jahanara’s all fellow players also present. Bangladesh played two ODIs against Ireland, managed one win and conceded one defea, while in their three T20I meetings so far, Bangladesh secured two wins and conceded one loss. Bangladesh Women’s squad: Sanjida Islam, Fahima Khatun, Ayasha Rahman, Jahanara Alam (captain), Farzana Hoque, Nahida Akter, Lata Mondol, Panna Ghosh, Rumana Ahmed, Khadija Tul Kubra, Nigar Sultana (wk), Suraiya Azmin, Ritu Moni and Jannatul Ferdous.
