Sylhet Correspondent :Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) and district police have started taking preparation to take fool-proof security arrangement to ensure smooth holding of upcoming Durga Puja and Eid-ul-Azha, the two major religious festivals of the Muslim and Hindu communities. Police Super Noor-e Alam Mina in a press conference here on 23 September said the authority has started view exchanging meeting with Hindu community in the different parts in the city from today, side by side taking foolproof security of all places of worships where Durga puja will be celebrated in the city.”The view exchanging meeting will be completed within two days and we are maintaining round the clock communications with the places of worships for Durga puja,” he added.Meanwhile, necessary preparations for Durga Puja are on the final stage in the city and 12 upazilas of the district where all-time record number idols of Goddess Durga will be erected this year, Puja Udjapan Parishad said.The artisans are passing their busiest time at this peak hour to give finishing touches to idols of Goddess Durga with their artistic creativity and colours.
