Bangladesh have taken the upper hand making 133 for the loss of three wickets in 17.3 overs, in reply to West Indies’ total of 321 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs in their match of the ICC World Cup at Taunton in England on Monday.
Tamim Iqbal notched up a fine 48. His 48-ball innings was laced with six fours.
Shakib Al remained unbeaten with 50, while Liton Das was on one till filing this report.
Shakib reached his 45th fifty-run landmark using 40 balls with seven fours.
Andre Russell and Oshane Thomas got one wicket each.
Earlier, Shai Hope, Ewin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer and Jason Holder got success in batting. Hope notched up 96, Lewis hit 70, Hetmyer made 50 and Holder scored 50 runs.
Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin grabbed three wickets each at the cost of 59 and 72 runs respectively, while Shakib Al Hasan bagged a couple of wickets for 54 runs.
