The Bangladesh national cricket team left for United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in the ACC Asia Cup scheduled to begin on September 15 in UAE.
Bangladesh, placed in group B, will start their tournament campaign when they will face Sri Lanka on September 15 in Dubai before taking on emerging Afghanistan in their second group match on September 20 in Abu Dhabi.
Bangladesh have achieved remarkable improvement to the ODI format in last three-four years.
Although their performance in overseas not up to the mark, but recently they won 2-1 ODI series victory over Windies in the Caribbean. It was away series win after nine years.
The series win in the Caribbean has certainly boosted Bangladesh’s confidence under their new head coach Steve Rhodes, the Englishman who further worked with the players regarding their strengths and weaknesses before the Asia Cup.
