The Tigers will take on Kiwis in the last ODI of the Walton Tri-Nation series at Dublin in Ireland today. The match begins at 3.45 pm (Bangladesh Time). Maasranga Television and GTV will telecast the match live.
Before today’s clash, Bangladesh and New Zealand faced 29 times each other. Of them the Kiwis recorded 21 victories, while the Tigers posted eight wins.
The opening match of the Walton Tri-Nation series between favourites Bangladesh and Ireland was abandoned due to rain on May 12 at the same venue. Thus Bangladesh and Ireland got two points each.
New Zealand defeated Ireland by 51 runs at the same venue on May 14.
The Kiwis beat the Tigers by four wickets at the same venue on May 17.
Later, Bangladesh posted a thumping eight-wicket victory over Ireland at the same venue on May 19.
New Zealand kept their winning streak thrashing Ireland by 190 runs at the same venue on May 21.
New Zealand led the points table securing 12 points from three matches. Thus the Kiwis already clinched the championship title before today’s match.
Bangladesh gained six points from three matches.
Minnows Ireland were eliminated from the series earning two points from four matches.
Though Bangladesh have no chance to emerge as the champions but if Bangladesh beat New Zealand in today’s match, it will boost up the Tigers for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
