Bangladesh national cricket team head coach Chandika Hathurusingha said his team is pretty hopeful about winning the second ODI against India schedule to be held today (Sunday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
“I don’t still say that we will go to the field as favorite against India, but we are quite hopeful about winning the second match. The confidence level of the team have improved after winning the first game and the team has still more opportunity to get improve,” he said at a pre match press conference held on Saturday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
He said the coaching stuffs of the teams relentlessly working hard for the Tigers in the batting bowling and fielding department which is reflecting in each match.
The coach did not forget to praise the performance of Mashrafe, who is leading the side from the front. All the boys obey Mashrafe’s leadership which is a important think for the team. His leadership is excellent and his contribution is enough for the victory which is really important for the team.
Commenting about Mustafizur Rahman’s performance Hathurusingha said India is a strong side having World class batting lineup but Mustafizur became a unknown factor for India as the visitors were totally unaware about Mostafizur and that helped Mustafizur to demolish the India strong batting lineup.
Asked to comment about the wicket for the second match he said he hoped to get the same wicket which used in the first ODI.
Asked what the reason behind of aggressive batting against India in the first match, the Sri Lankan born Tigers coach categorically replied the batsmen are very confident of their ability, now they believe that they can play good cricket. Their confidence leveled have risen because they are enjoying consistence victory of the team.
