Newly appointed Head Coach of the Tigers Russell Domingo arrived in the city on Tuesday. He reached the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 5.00 pm.
He left the HSIA for a luxurious hotel at the city’s Gulshan. He will be staying there before Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will hire a house for him.
Russell Domingo will go to the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) today where the Bangladesh Cricket squad (preliminary) are now busy at the conditioning camp, arranged by BCB.
It may be mentioned that Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team, Batting Coach Neil McKenzie and Pace Bowling Coach Charl Langevelt are the men from South Africa. Only Spin Bowling Coach Daniel Vettori is from New Zealand.
Charl Langevelt also arrived in the city on Tuesday.
McKenzie will take time to come in Dhaka.
On the other hand, Vettori will not come in the city before the Tri-Nation Series. Hosts Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will take part in the Tri-Nation Series scheduled to be held from September 13 in the different venues of the country.
Besides, Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in a lone Test, which will be taken place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from September 5 to September 9.
However, Russell Domingo and Langevelt will visit SBNCS today to watch the conditioning camp. After a couple of days, the full-fledged practice sessions of the Tigers will start under the supervision of Russell Domingo.
