ICC World T20: Tigers face Pakistan today

The spirited Tigers will face Pakistan in their first Group 2 match of the final round (Super Ten) in the ICC World Twenty20 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today (Wednesday). The match starts at 3.30 pm.
The state-owned Bangladesh Television and the private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live from the venue. Unbeaten Bangladesh qualified for the final round becoming champions in the preliminary round from Group ‘A’.
They defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the Asia Cup T20 in Dhaka on March 2 and beat Sri Lanka by 23 runs on February 28 but became runners-up after loss to India in the final.
Besides, Bangladesh became runners-up in the recently concluded Asia Cup T20.
“Since Bangladesh beat Pakistan in the Asia Cup few days ago, the Tigers will have a physical advantage,” says a Bangladeshi cricket fan.
Captain of Bangladesh team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, ” We have got an opportunity once again to play against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens in the World Cup Cricket. We want to execute that chance. Eden Gardens is one of the noted cricket grounds in the world. We want to perform well and make the match against Pakistan memorable.”
