Sri Lanka won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first in their third and final ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday. The hosts are 2-0 down in the three-match series. Naeem Islam has replaced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has been banned for three ODIs due to improper gesture during their second match against the islanders. Shafiul Islam is back in the squad as Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has been rested in view of his long-term injury. Tamim Iqbal, who failed to recover from a neck strain, has been axed. On the other hand, the major changes among the visitors who have sealed their series win already, are the absence of Kumar Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Both of them have returned home, the first for personal reasons and the later with an injury. Mushfiqur Rahim’s team lost both T20s in last-ball thrillers. Victory eluded the Tigers in the first ODI as well, despite Sri Lanka being 67 for eight at one stage. However, the visitors took the second ODI with ease with a superb century from Kumar Sangakkara. Poor showing in the field so far in the series has been a cause for great concern. A series of dropped catches and misfields meant the batsmen had to do more than they should.
