The Tigers backed to their business after a ten-day Eid vacation as they started their full-fledged training camp on Sunday at Mirpur ahead of the West Indies tour.
Famed all rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has been suspended for six months from international cricket, also joined the camp.
After reporting at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)’s office on Saturday afternoon the Tigers also had a meeting with the to head coach Chandika Hathurusingh.
The Tigers will play three ODI and only a T20 and two-match Test Series against their West Indies counterpart.
The West Indies series will be a big challenge for Mushfiq-men as they will miss the service of their key players Shakib.
Bangladesh won eight out of 21 ODIs that Shakib missed in the last six years, four since March 2013. However, they have lost all their ODIs in 2014
Earlier, last month, BCB announced 15-memebr ODI squad for the tour of West Indies recalling Imrul Kayes and Rubel Hossain. Shakib’s six-month suspension means he isn’t part of the 15-man squad. Seam-bowling allrounder Ziaur Rahman has also missed out.
Bangladesh will play the first ODI on August 20 at the National Cricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada while the second ODI will be played on August 22 at the same venue. The third and final day night ODI between the two sides will be held on August 25 at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
After the ODI series, the Tiger will play only T20 against their Caribbean counterpart schedule to be held on Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
Bangladesh will play the first Test against West Indies on September 5-9 at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent while the second and final Test will be played on September 13-17 at the Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.
