Tiger attack injures 12 in Sylhet

At least 12 persons were injured in tiger’s (which lives on eating fish) attack at Osmaninagar in Sylhet on Saturday night.
Locals said that they were alert about the fishing tiger through mosque mike at about 7:00 pm.
They said, a tiger attacked Amina Begum, 60, when she was working in his yard in Raiykdara Ichhamiti village under the Osmaninagar.
Hearing her shouting, relatives and neighbours came to help her, leaving Parvin Begum, Rina Begum, 60, Dulal Miah, Jubair Ahmed, 8, Fajar Ali, 30, and Pedli Begum, 28, injured.Later, the tiger went to adjacent Noagaon village and attacked villagers. There expatriate Nazrul Islam, 18, Hena Begum, 22, Abul Kalam, 50, and Rays Ali also injured in the attack.The injured were rushed to the Osmani Medical College and Hospital in Sylhet. The tiger is now hiding in a forest near Noapara village un der Osmaninagar.Osmaninagar Olice Station’s Officer-in-Charge Zuber Ahmed confirming about the incident and said they were contacted to the local Forest Department to capture the tiger.The concerned authority of the forest department will try to back the tiger tomorrow, he added.
