The Transparency International (TIB) on Thursday criticised the black money whitening policy in the proposed budget of 2016-17fiscal year.
The TIB issued a statement after Finance Minister AMA Muhit
completed his budget speech in the Parliament on the day.
The Executive Director of TIB Dr. Iftekharuzzaman said that the proposed budget retained strategically the policy of whitening black money. The policy is against the government’s anti-corruption stand.
TIB demanded scratching it from the budget by saying that the legalising of black money did not help increase revenue in real field.
