UNB, Dhaka :
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Thursday said Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and Sujon (Sushasoner Jonno Nagorik) echo what Khaleda Zia and BNP say.
“There’s no difference between the statements of BNP and that of TIB and Sujon,” he said.
The AL presidium member was speaking at a press briefing after a meeting of 14-party alliance at Awami League President’s Dhamnondi office.
He accused TIB and Sujon of trying to put in place an unelected regime.
“They (TIB and Sujon) wanted to see an
unconstitutional government in the country and their excitement vanished when they saw a constitutional government as they have an ulterior motive,” he said.
Pointing finger at TIB and Sujon, Nasim said, “If we make any mistake, please identify that, but don’t complicate the situation through provocations.”
About TIB’s push for fresh polls, he said, “It’s clear that for whom and what they are asking a fresh election within months of the 10th parliamentary polls.”
