UNB, Dhaka :Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Wednesday urged the government to appoint a new chairman and a commissioner to the Anti Corruption Commission through a fair and transparent process.It also asked the authorities concerned to appoint efficient, neutral and experienced persons as the new chairman and commissioner to the national anti-graft body.In a statement, TIB executive director Dr Iftekharuzzman said the ACC is a specialised entity responsible for preventing corruption and helping the government implement the National Integrity Strategy.”It’s the government’s responsibility to appoint professional experienced, skilled and neutral persons as the new chairman and commissioner to the Commission following the due process,” he added.
