A bicycle-rally, roadside meetings and signature campaigns calling the youths to stand against corruption held from Barisal city and outskirts on Wednesday.
The programmes were organised by TIB and its front organisations “YES(Youth Engagement and Support)” and “Sanak (Sachetan Nagorik Committee)”.
The day-long programme styled as “Unbeatable Youth: Must Prevent Corruptions (Durjoy Tarunno: Durnitee Rukhbei” was participated by the 40 voulnteers of the organizations.
Prof. M Moazzem Hossain, president Sanak Barisal, inaugurated the rally at 9:00 am from the front of Ashwini Kumar Hall in the city.
He called the youths for creating anti-corruption awareness and taking more active role in preventing corruption in the society.
The rally moving on city roads held roadside meetings on the way and oath taking ceremony, signature collection campaign at Charmonai union secondary school and Rajar Char secondary school, led by Uttam Kumar Biswas and Suvash Chandra Baroi, headmasters of the schools.
The youth volunteer team also holding propagation campaign at Shaheber
Hut and Dinar Bazaar areas returned Barisal city in afternoon.
