A housewife died instantly as a thunderbolt struck her at Islampur village under Razasthali upazila of the district on Wednesday evening.
The victim was identified as Rokshana Akhtar, 28, wife of Jahangir Alam of the village.
Police said Rokshana was hit and instantly killed by thunderbolt when she was on their premises.
Police recovered the body from the spot.
