At least two people were killed as thunderbolts struck them at Moulvibazar district Sunday. The deceased were identified as Dulu Bibi, 53, and her daughter-in-law Suifa Bibi, 38, of West Hazipur village under Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar. Two were killed by lightning at West Hazipur village under Kulaura Upazila around 5:30pm.
A local, Joynal Abedin, said the woman and daughter-in-law were killed being attacked by thunderbolt at their house in the area. Hazipur Union Parishad (UP) chairman Mahmud Ali confirmed the matter.
