UNB, Rajshahi :A young man, whose throat was slit allegedly by his uncle over a land-related dispute in Charghat upazila on Friday evening, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) here on Saturday morning.The deceased was identified as Razu Ahmed, 22, son of Shahjahan of Khandagobindapur village in the upazila.Victim’s aunt Razia said one of her brothers, Lokman, had been cultivating her land in rent since long.As he does not give due share of the produce, she herself decided to cultivate the land which led to a dispute with Lokman, she said.When Lokman threatened Razia over the issue on Friday evening, Razu protested it which angered Lokman.At one stage, he chased his nephew Razu with a sharp weapon and slit his throat, leaving the youth seriously injured. He was admitted to the RMCH where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning.Officer-in-charge of Charghant Police Station Golam Mortoza confirmed the incident.
