Police early today recovered throat-slit body of a school student from Burichang Upazila here.
The victim was identified as Nazmul Hasan, 14, a class eight student of Gobindapur High School at Chandina, son of Abdur Rob Mia of Madhyatala Village under Chandina Upazila. He used to drive CNG-run-auto-rickshaw to continue his study.
After being informed, police recovered the body of Nazmul from Shantamura area around 7 in the morning, officer-in-charge Zahirul Islam of Burichang Police Station told BSS.
Nazmul’s auto-rickshaw was not found, police said.
His body was sent to the morgue of Comilla General Hospital for postmortem.
Nazmul along with three to four passengers on board started journey for Barura Bazar from Chandina around 5pm on Friday and since then he went missing and his mobile phone was found switched off, the OC said.
Filing of a murder case is underway.
