Karpasdanga Nazrul Smriti Sahitya Sangsad of Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district has given reception to three writers of Melandha in Jamalpur.
The three writers who were honored are: Correspondent of Daily Ittefaq/ The New Nation, Editor-Publisher of Saikat Sahitya Patra and Founder Director of Saikat Sahitya Sangsad Md. Shah Jamal, poet Gazi Mazharul Islam and Ariful Islam Lavlu.
In addition, Sherpur district poet Harunur Rashid has given this honor to several people. On the golden jubilee of independence, this honor was conferred on Nazrul in the spirit of nation building.
Poet Abdul Gafur Master, President of Nazrul Smriti Sahitya Sangsad, presided over the meeting held at Karpasdanga, a place associated with Nazrul’s memory, on March 18 at 10 am.
The program started with the laying of wreaths at the memorial of the poet Nazrul Islam and a colorful rally.
During the day-long program, the walks of Nazrul devotees-researchers and poets-writers from different parts of the country were highlighted.
Different episodes were discussed by the retired secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, and poet Hamidur Rahman, former Chairman of Chuadanga Zilla Parishad and President of Damurhuda Awami League Mahfuzur Rahman Monju, Central University of Science and Technology Bangla Department Professor and Nazrul researcher. Among others, Dr. Sandeepak Mallick, Dr. Munshi Abu Saif professor of Chuadanga Government College, Former DG of Keru & Company Poet Khalequzzaman, Karpasdanga UP Chairman Habibur Rahman, Life Member of Bangla Academy Poet Atik Helal, General Secretary of Gangchil International sahitya sangskritik porisod Harunur Rashid, Daily Mathabhanga News Editor-Chharakar Ahad Ali Mollah, Founder director of Saikat Sahitya Sangsad Md. Shah Jamal, poet Khalequzzaman, Representative of the Church of Bangladesh Prakriti Biswas Bakul, Nazrul researcher M. Sirajul Islam, Poet Gazi Mazharul Islam, Poet Ariful Islam Lablu, Poet Aklima Khatun, Poet and Lyricist Lablu Hossain, Poet Azim Uddin Biswas Aju and Poet Saiful Islam among others were present there.
