Joint forces have arrested three members of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) over a case filed for extortion in Rangamati’s Naniarchar Upazila recently
The accused Nenson Chakma, Ananta Chakma, and Nayan Chakma, all from Naniarchar, were arrested .
Law enforcement agencies said that they have also confiscated a motorcycle, two mobile phones, Tk 5,145, and receipt of extortion money from the offenders.
According to sources of the joint force, acting on a tip-off, they conducted a drive at Ghilachori area of the upazila, and arrested the accused.
