National B Chess Championship: Three players share top slot

Three players are jointly leading the Saif Powertec 41st National B Chess Championship securing six points each after the 7th round matches at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on Wednesday.
The three players leading the points table are: IM Abu Sufian Shakil (Dhaka Mohammedan SC), FM Taibur Rahman (Bangladesh Navy) and FM Rezaul Haque (Fire-Service & Civil Defense).
Five players followed the leaders neck and neck collecting 5.5 points each. They are: IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FM Khondakar Aminul Islam (Bangladesh Navy), FM Debaraj Chatterjee (Titas Club) and FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon (Dhaka Mohammedan).
Thirteen players are sharing the 3rd slot with 5 points each.
They are: FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, Uten, CM Monir Hossain, CM Sohel Chowdhury (Leonine CC), Saiful Islam Chowdhury (Sylhet), CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed, Mohammad Sagar (Bangladesh Navy), Mohammed Enayet Hossain (Fire-Service), FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Titas Club), Matiur Rahman Mamun (Pradip Sangha), Abdur Rauf Aziz (Sherpur) Nayeem Haque (Sirajganj) and Mohammad Hadiuzzaman (Jessore).
In the day’s 7th round matches, Shakil beat Sohel, Taibur beat Monir, Reza beat FM Mohammad Javed, Minhaz drew with Debaraj, Emon drew with Khondakar.Aminul, Parag drew with Mahtab, Nasir beat Sharif Hossain, Uten beat Jamal Uddin, Saiful beat P J. Bakul Barua, Abdullah Al-Saif drew with M Abzid Rahman, Sagar beat SM Sharon, Aziz beat Anisuzzaman Jewel, Enayet beat Nayan Kumar Mohanto, Fahad beat Mukitul Islam Ripon, Hadi beat Masum Hossain, Nayeem beat Mohammad Sherajul Kabir and Mamun beat Ratan Ali.
The 8th round matches will be held today (Thursday) from 3:pm at the same venue.
