Three members of a family were found dead in Dilalpur of Pabna town on Friday afternoon.
After getting the information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies around 3pm on Friday.
The victims were Abdul Jabbar, 64, a former official of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank , his wife Chhumma Khatun, 50, and their teenage daughter Sanjida Khatun, 14.
Nasim Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Pabna Sadar police station, confirmed the matter to the media and said that members of law enforcers recovered the bodies from the spot and sent them to hospital for autopsy.
We primarily suspected that robbers stabbed them to death and looted their valuables from their house few days ago, OC added.
Local people said that after getting stink from the residence, they looked through the window and noticed that the three bodies were lying motionless on beds with flies swarming on them. Then they immediately called the police.
Pabna Superintendent of Police Sheikh Rafiqul Islam said: “We have not yet adequate knowledge about the incident but after the forensics test the truth will be exposed.
Besides, separate teams are on the field to investigate, SP said.
