Feni Correspondent :Police have arrested three more persons in connection with the killing of Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque from different parts of the district. With this, the total number of arrest now stood at 26.Acting on secret information, police arrested Chhatra League leader Mohammad Arman Hossain Kausar from Banani para area of the town on Sunday in connection with the murder case, Feni thana sources said.On Saturday, members of Rab-7 arrested Abul Hossain Jahangir, a worker of Awami League from Sharshadi area of sadar upazila in this connection. The same day, Chhutu, a Jubo League worker was also arrested from Birinchi village in the Acadeny area of Feni.When AL worker Abul Hossain Jahangir was produced before the court on Sunday, the police prayed for his remand. The court granted him a five-day remand. Police also sought five-day remand for Jubo League leader Alamgir Hossain, who was arrested earlier in connection with the murder.It is to be noted that Ekramul Haque, Fulgazi upazila chairman and president of upazila Awami League, was shot and burnt to death in his car on May 20 by a group of 60 to 70 miscreants.
