Three matches were held on Thursday in the Dhaka District Women’s Football competition at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex.

Dhaka City South (Green) went down 0-2 against Dhamrai (Green) in day’s first match. Eti and Smitri scored one goal for the winners.In the second fixture of the day, Dhamrai (Red) also recorded an identical 2-0 win over Dhaka City South (Red). Moushumi and Nasreen scored one goal each for the winners.
In the third and final fixture of the day, Savar (Red) fought hard to scrape past Dohar (Red) by a solitary goal. Sonya scored the cherished winning goal for Savar team and later was declared as player of the match.
Four quarterfinals will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
In this year’s competition, 14 teams of 5 Upazilas and Dhaka City Corporations are taking part in the competition.
