Three matches were decided on the inaugural day of the 26th National Youth Hockey championship which began on Sunday at the Moulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium.
Chittagong Division was in impressive form as they dumped Thakurgaon District by 5-1 goals in the day’s first match.
Tangail District too were in superb form as they drubbed Meherpur District by 4-0 goals in the second match of the day.
While in day’s final fixture title aspirant BKSP were in top form as they recorded an overwhelming 8-0 win over hapless Barisal District.
Earlier in the day, Pankaj Rai Chowdhury, Managing Director of Agrani Bank Limited formally inaugurated the competition.
