Three human traffickers, including the main culprit, were remanded yesterday in a case lodged over sending Bangladeshis to Vietnam illegally.
The three accused are- kingpin Jamal Uddin Sohagh, 34, Kamal Hossain, 39, and Jamal Hossain, 37.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Mohammad Noman placed them on three-day remand each as police produced the trio before the court and pleaded to give them remand for seven days.
Recently 11 Bangladeshis, who were trafficked to Vietnam
earlier, returned home and told their ordeal to law enforcing agencies.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on July 8 arrested the trio from Paltan area, acting on the information given by the victims.
RAB at the time recovered 254 passports from their possessions.
