Jashore police have arrested three members of a teen gang for their alleged involvement in two gang raping incidents in Jashore on Saturday noon.
The three are – Al Afsan alias Pushpa,15, son of Abdul Kuddus of Shankarpur in Jashore town, Raihan,20, son of Abdur Rashid and Shakil,20, son of Sohrab Hossain- both of Kharki Hazampara in Jashore town, were arrested from Sonadanga area in Khulna town, Gopalganj and Kharki in Jashore town.
Of them, Pushpa was detained from Khulna on January 2 while Raihan from Gopalganj and Shakil from Jashore town at around 2:45am on January 3, Mohammad Touhidul Islam, additional superintendent of police, Jashore told newsmen at a press briefing at Jashore police office on Saturday noon.
The additional SP told that a total of eight members of a teen gang were involved in raping a 15-year girl at a tree cluster at Kharki and the resident of Bhagne Hridoy at Loan Officepara in Jashore town, twice on November 1, 2019.
The information came into focus as the victim was rushed to Jashore General Hospital after she felt sick on November 2.
