Three die with corona like symptoms

Three persons died with symptoms similar to that of Coronavirus in three districts in the last 24 hours.
In Netrokona, a man aged between 50 to 55 died with coronavirus symptoms at his house in Khaliajuri upazila on Saturday morning
Three people died from what looks like coronavirus in Natore, Netrokona and Bogra on Saturday.
In Natore, a 55-year-old man, suffering from fever, cough, and cold, died around 3:30 am on Saturday in Sadar upazila.
Sadar upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mahbub confirmed the matter.
“The health authorities have collected samples from the deceased and sent it to Rajshahi to test for coronavirus,” said Civil Surgeon Dr Mizanur Rahman, adding, “We will take further steps after receiving the results.”
In Netrokona, a man aged between 50 to 55 died with coronavirus symptoms at his house in Khaliajuri upazila on Saturday morning.
The man, who returned to the upazila from Dhaka four to five days back, had been suffering from fever and respiratory problems, reports our correspondent Hanif Ullah Akash.
Acknowledging the matter, Khaliajuri Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) AHM Ariful Islam said: “We have collected samples as he bore coronavirus symptoms.
“The house of the deceased was also put on lockdown,” Ariful added.
In Bangladesh, until Saturday, the deadly coronavirus has infected at least 70 people and killed eight, according to health authorities.
Three people died from what looks like coronavirus in Bogra, Natore and Netrokona early Saturday.
In Bogra, a 70-year-old man died with coronavirus symptoms in Dakshinpara area of Sadar upazila Saturday afternoon.
Local administration put his house under lockdown until his samples are tested for coronavirus infection, confirmed Deputy Civil Surgeon Md Mostafizur Rahman.
Dr Shamir Hossain, Sadar upazila health and family planning officer, said: “The man undoubtedly died of respiratory problems at such an old age. But still, his samples were sent for test so that we can be confirmed that he had not infected with the virus.”
The deceased had been living in a rented house in the city and was ill for 10 to 12 days.
