A three-day Science and Technology fair 2015 began in Mymensingh Friday with much enthusiasm. The district administration organised the fair.
Managing Director of National Science Technology Museum Swapan Kumar Roy formally inaugurated the fair at Mukul Niketon high school ground as chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Mustakim Billah Faruqui presided over the function.
Mayor of Mymensingh Pourashava Ekramul Haque Teto,Professor of Microbiology and Hygiene of Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) Dr Md Shahidur Rahman, Director PGD-ICT (BAU) Mustagiz Billah and Additional Police Super AB Mamun and general Secretary of Aloke Chitra Shilpi Sangsad AHM Motalab among others spoke at the inaugural function.
Speakers at the inaugural ceremony stressed the need for such fair for encouraging and motivating the students and youth community to innovate new technology in order for advancement of the country’s science and technology sector.
