Three-day leathergoods show kicks off on Nov 16

A three-day “Bangladesh Leather Footwear & Leather goods International Sourcing Show (BLLISS)-2017” will begin in the city on November 16 to showcase an exciting collection of leather products.
Leather goods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce is organizing the first ever show under the thematic tagline: ‘Think ahead, think Bangladesh’.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the 3-day event at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), said the organizers at a press conference on Sunday.
Country’s leading leather manufacturing companies will showcase their products in 7 pavilions and 25 stands.
Commerce secretary Shubashis Basu, President of LFMEAB Md. Saiful Islam, Deputy head of the mission of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dhaka Michael Schultheiss, Director General of Foreign Trade Association (FTA) based in Brussels Christian Ewert and Chen Shao Tseng, Managing Director, Patenga Footwear (Pvt.) Ltd. were also present at the press conference.
LFMEAB president Md. Saiful Islam said the purpose of this show is to turn Bangladesh into a sourcing hub by bringing buyers, global retailers, international sourcing agents to see the quality and range of products, enabling direct interaction with local manufacturers and exporters.
