Police recovered at least three more bodies from separate districts of the country on Saturday.
In Gazipur, Police recovered a body of female readymade garment (RMG) worker from Bhaoraid area under Gazipur City Corporation early Saturday (Jan 5).
The deceased was identified as Afroza Akhter, 25, wife of one Shahjahan Mia in the locality. She used to work in a local garment factory of the city.
Family of the deceased claimed that she had committed suicide.
Riaz Uddin, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station in Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) told the news media that the body was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
“The body carries unnatural marks. Reasons behind the death will be known once the autopsy report is received”, SI added.
In Cox’s Bazar, Police found at least two bullet-hit bodies of youths in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
The deceased could not be identified instantly, but bodies bear marks of bullet wounds.
Pradip Kumar Das, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station confirmed the matter to media that on information, police recovered the bodies from Rajarchara Marine Drive Coastal area of the upazila.
