Three Bangladesh cricketers nominated for BBL draft

Three Bangladeshi players have been nominated for the draft of the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Pacer Shafiul Islam, Al-Amin Hossain and U-19 World Cup participant Ripon Mondal were enlisted in the overseas draft.
The Draft also includes Sri Lanka’s Prabath Jayasuriya, Chandimal, Maheesh Theekshana and Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
There are some familiar names that have been nominated to return to the BBL including a host of Afghanistan stars. Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Zahir Khan have all been nominated and are eligible to be retention picks having played in the BBL last season.
Sandeep Lamichhane, Tom Lammonby and Unmukt Chand have all joined the draft and could be retention picks having played last season.
South Africa legspinner Imran Tahir has been nominated having signed to play for Melbourne Renegades in 2020-21 before he withdrew for personal reasons.
