RAB-8 members have arrested three people along with foreign pistol and drugs in a raid in Pirojpur district Town under Barishal division.
The arrested are – Bahadur Sheikh (43) of West Harina area, Mostafizur Rahman (38) of Ukilpara area and Saidul Islam (32) of Khumuria area Pirojpur district headquarters. The matter was confirmed by the RAB-8 headquarters in Rupatali area of Barishal city on Sunday noon. Rabiul Islam, assistant director of RAB-8 Barishal CPSC Company, said that on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted on Ratan Kumar Mistry’s car garage in Machimpur-Mandalpara area under Pirojpur Sadar police station. At that time, 337 yaba tablets, 160 grams of ganja, 4 thousand 330 taka in cash, a pistol made in the USA, a Chinese ax, black glasses with a hidden camera and a hockey stick were recovered from the three detainees. In this incident, RAB-8 Barishal CPSC DAD Noor Islam, as complainant filed separate cases under Arms and Narcotics Control Act at Sadar Police Station of Pirojpur district on Sunday and the arrestees sent to jail after producing before the court.
